BETWEEN HISTORY, CULTURE AND ANCIENT TRADITIONS
The Fortress of Civitella del Tronto

Castelli
Situated at the foot of Mount Camicia, in the Gran Sasso-Laga Park, Castelli is called the 'Land of Ceramics' precisely because it is known throughout the world for its fine ceramics produced from the 17th-18th centuries.
Every year, from the last Sunday in July to the first Sunday in September, the famous 'Agosto a Castelli' (August in Castelli) handicrafts market is held, an event that attracts many tourists to the village. The peculiarity of this event is that it ends each time with the throwing of plates.

Atri
The village of Atri is an enchanting place of art on the Teramo coast with very ancient origins (7th-5th century B.C.). Its main characteristic are its numerous monuments and historical buildings, churches, museums and suggestive views. The landscape of the surrounding hills is particularly spectacular thanks to the Calanchi, true 'natural sculptures' born from the clay soil. Worth visiting are the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta with its adjoining museum, the Bishop's Palace and the Seminary, the Municipal Theatre also known as the 'bomboniera' and the majestic Palazzo Ducale degli Acquaviva.
